I'm Alive!

I feel so much better today, thanks. My doctor prescribed meds and gave me a shot in the hiney. The nurse kept apologizing and telling me it would only hurt for a second. Hello- I've been through child birth, you can't scare me.

Ruby the pup could cause me to go insane, though. She is just so dogone wild. Every day when we get home she knocks Little Red to the floor when she jumps on him. Yesterday she left a big welp under his eye. Of course he doesn't cry since he's a tough cookie, but he spends alot of time running from her! She is just a pup, so wildness is to be expected, but I'm not sure I make a very good dog trainer. That is totally Mr. Sass's area of expertise, but he is working long hours, which leaves me to handle, well everything. How do you make a puppy stop jumping?

The weekend is upon us and I couldn't be happier. Little Red will spend one night (exact night TBA) at GiGi & BBops. Mr. Sass and I are going jeep riding. Now that I feel better, I am a tad more excited. I do get to wear my new Carhart hoodie after all. I may be the only redneck that plans a cute and functional wardrobe for the woods. Don't forget the lipgloss!

Note- My lil sister, B, says I am NOT a redneck. She says I'm just country. She also says that Jason Aldean's new song She's Country should be my theme song. Apparently she is mortified that I'm calling myself a redneck on here. She also pointed out that I do love monograms, polka-dots and all things preppy. Does that make me a prepneck?

Just One Of Those Days...

Ughhhh. I left my cell phone at home today. I feel totally naked. I hate that feeling. It was just one of those mornings- I'm lucky I even remembered to get dressed. Little Red didn't want to get his hiney in gear, plus I had about 4 hours of sleep. I am weak. I let LR wear his pj top as a shirt because he freaked out on me for trying to take it off- Don't judge me. Then he cried most of the way to school and hung on my leg like a monkey all the way inside. He was shouting at the top of his lungs, "I wanna go home, wiiiiiiight now Mommy! Doooooooooo yooooooooooooou heaw me?" I pretended I didn't as I left the building. Don't judge me on this either.

My cold is progressing nicely. The snot has left my head and entered my chest. I am now left with a barking cough and nasty snot situation. It's sexy, I'll just tell ya. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon, so hopefully he'll work some magic and I'll actually get some sleep tonight. All of my coworkers are loving the sounds of my hacking and my voice has this lovely raspiness to it.

Please say a little prayer that I'll survive the day and be able to handle my whiny 2.5 year old and potty-training pup this evening while Mr. Sass works on the Jeep. Have I mentioned we are going riding this weekend? I'm so excited I can't stand it (insert eye roll and major sarcasm). Maybe I can get a doctor's excuse.

Baby Mama

Little Red has told me several times since he started school that "dose udder kids tell me ima baby." He does not like this one bit. He is adamant that he is a big boy. I'm talking hands on hips while stomping his foot, adamant. He was adamant all night last night while whining, crying & begging me to hold him.

Um, I think I just might know why they are calling you a baby, kiddo.

Drop Dead Gorgeous Weekend

I felt like death most of the weekend (can't seem to shake this nasty cold), but still managed to make it through with no major catastrophes. Nanu, Pop & Miss Sassypants came to visit. We were expecting Nanu & Pop, but Miss S was a pleasant and totally unexpected surprise.

Saturday, Miss S and I went shopping to spend her Valentine's gift from Mr. Sass (Old Navy gift card) and to get Little Red some jeans that didn't make him look like he was waiting on a flood. He is growing so fast! Saturday night Miss S and I left the rest of the crew at home (with some delicious beef & veggie stew in the crock pot, of course) to go to my youngest sister's Senior Beauty Walk.
--
B was stunning. She made the Top 10, which is quite an accomplishment considering there were 90ish girls. She drew a really stupid question about morals, but she rocked it anyway. She so should have won. I'm not biased or anything. Let me just say that 10 years ago (same high school, same pageant) girls didn't look like they do now. The hair, dresses and make-up were nothing short of amazing. It was obvious that many of them were seasoned, professionally trained pageant gals. This was the first pageant B had ever been in, but she looked like she had been doing it her whole life. I am so proud of her confidence and beauty- inside and out.

The girl on the right won.

Top 10 with winners

Yesterday after all the company left I attacked my house with reckless abandon. I did a trillion loads of laundry, organized multiple closets, cooked dinner and did my normal weekly preparations-make our breakfast(pb&j or pimento cheese on whole wheat bagels) for the week and sort LRs clothes into the organizer in the hall closet, so I can grab an outfit and go in the mornings. We also gave Ruby a bath and watched Horton Hears a Who. Whew- made me tired just typing it all.

Best Gift Evah!

My bloggie friend April over at dot dot dot tagged all of her mama readers on this one. I decided to do it since this basically is Little Red's baby book and I'm afraid if any more years go by, I'll forget the answers.

Weekend Warrior

Here goes...

Mr. Sass's parents, Nanu & Pop are going to be visiting for the weekend. They should be here about 30 minutes after I get off work. That is not nearly enough time for me to shove things in closets and under beds.

My big littlest sister, B, is in a pageant on Saturday night. I know she is gorgeous. I think she should win. Judges don't always see it my way, though and it will last about 5 hours. I will post pictures of her beautifulness. Pinky promise.

I have a Target list a mile long. It will take many hours and mucho dinero to get it all.

Little Red and I both have the crud. Snotty nose + sore throat + stopped up ears + upset tummy from drainage = No fun! There may be a doctor's visit in our near future. Must add Mucinex to the Target list.

I am cooking vegetable beef stew tonight even though we usually eat out on Friday nights. My throat huts and it sounds yummers. I don't care if that is what everyone else wants, so deal. I might make beer bread, too. On the other hand, I might just drink the beers.

Ruby Soho is the cutest pup ever. She is pretty durn smart, too. She likes to chew on stuff, though. Good thing she is so cute. Must. make. her. stop. stat.

I tried to take pictures last night. My camera batteries went dead and I had to use my phone, which means my subjects needed to stay still for about 10 seconds. That is approximately 9 seconds longer than I could get from Ruby, Greta, Little Red and even Mr. Sass. Remind me to add AA batteries to that Target list.

Mr. Sass and his new baby girl. He is totally in lurve.

Can you see the faux diamond collar? She is divalicious.

Bite Me!

I have always said that B-Bop (my dear dad) taught Little Red his biting habit. B-Bop denies any involvement. While looking back through pictures trying to find one of Greta, I found proof (and stirred up some old memories). See for yourself...

It all starts out so sweet and innocently.

B-Bop is so laughing!!!
and letting him continue to bite him...

I also found this picture of my sweet Grand Pete, who was there when the incident occurred. If only she were here to tell us what really went down. She passed away this past summer and I miss her to pieces. She was beautiful and amazing. I can only hope to be as awesome as her when I grow up- other than the whole raising 6 kids on her own thing. I'll pass on that, but she rocked it!

Puppy Love

We have a new addition!!! She is a 3 month old Brittany Spaniel that looks so much like Greta, our 8 year old Brittany. Greta is one of the best dogs I have ever known. My dad used to joke that if our kids minded as well as Greta we'd be ok. So much for that. Greta was 2 when we met , so I missed out on her being a wee pup.

We weren't really planning on a puppy now, but the opportunity presented itself for us to adopt a very sweet, very expensive Brittney for free. So, me being the bargain hunter and Mr. Sass being the Brittney lover naturally welcomed Ruby (formerly known as Sadie) into our home. Ruby came complete with a crate, several shirts, a parka and tons of treats and toys. Can you say diva?

Holy cuteness, Batman. This is her adoption picture. Just look at that face. I will post pictures from our house later (when I actually remember to take some). Little Red, Greta & Ruby had a ball together last night and this morning. LR kept saying "dat's Greta's sister!" He may be right, they sure do look alike. I'm afraid some major confusion is in our future. Like I need any more, but she is such a sweetie, plus us girls are now outnumbering the boys. Do I have to change my blog title? Things that make you go hmmmm...

Here is the earliest picture I have of Greta (the guy not prepared for the camera is Bush- my bestie KeKe's hubs and Mr. Sass's childhood best bud).

And here is one of Little Red when he was just a babe. Seems like yesterday...

Beer-y Good Bread

Here is a super duper easy and extremely delish recipe. This bread tastes just like the Tastefully Simple Bountiful Beer Bread. It is also the only thing in the world that could get my sweet mama to buy beer, which means it must to be good. Thanks for the recipe, GiGi!

Beer Bread
3 Cups Self-rising flour
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
12 oz. can of light beer
1 stick melted butter

Mix dry ingredients together. Pour beer into dry mixture and stir. Pour (dump) mixture into bread pan. Pour stick of melted butter over dough in pan. Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes. Take out of oven and let sit for 15 minutes. Then flip onto cooling rack.

Enjoy!

Word of Mouth

Little Red has several little cavities. (The dentist didn't actually say they were little, but considering LR's teeth are little I'm gonna call 'em little, k?) Total bummer, I know... The dentist wants to put him to sleep at the hospital to fill them. Shut the front door! I'll just tell you I am still in shock. Can you say second opinion? I'm totally bummed out and have spent alot of time researching opinions and options. I'm taking him to Mr. Sass's childhood dentist in a couple of weeks to see what he thinks. We'll do whatever we have to, but I just can't imagine having to put him under anesthesia.

On a happier note, LR was a perfect angel at the dentist. He sat in the chair like such a big boy. Made his GiGi (and his mama) super proud.

So, I thought this would be the perfect time to remind you of my dental phobia. I am missing 4 permanent teeth (it's hereditary) and spent alot of my childhood in and out of the dentist's office for one thing or another. I also had braces, whitening, the works. Basically, my parents spent a small fortune on my mouth. Thanks, Mom & Dad! However, I have been left with nightmares of my teeth falling out and will not under any circumstances bite into an apple or corn on the cob. I am concerned that some of my dental phobia could be rubbing off on LR, in turn causing him to not take care of his teeth properly. In an effort to get over this, I am going to share some dental humor with you. Just maybe it'll make me feel better. Do you think this is an effective form of therapy?

Dentists are incapable of asking questions that require a simple yes or no answer.

What does the dentist of the year get?...A little plaque

What did the tooth say to the departing dentist?...Fill me in when you get back

A patient asked the dentist, if it wasn’t nasty to be all the day with the hands in someone's mouth. The dentist answered "I just think of it as having my hands in their wallet."
And my fave...

So Sweet

We had a fabulous Valentine's Day. We went to breakfast together (after LR got me up at 6am, thanks kiddo.) and then rode around and checked out houses and land for sale. We went home and watched movies, chilled and did a whole lotta nothing. Spent some time cleaning & doing laundry. We had Firehouse subs for dinner. Yum-O!

Have a looksey at what I got...
Nope, your eyes aren't deceiving you. That, my friends, is my very own Carhart hoodie courtesy of my sweetie. He's a keeper, I'll just tell ya. I honestly think he is just trying to give me even more blog worthy material...

Mr. Sass got a t-shirt and tire deflator. Both were purchased at our local off-road store (where we are very good customers as you can imagine).

Little Red got a jeep sticker book, lots of candy and Madagascar 2.

Today is Little Red's first dentist appointment. GiGi is taking him because she is out of school and I'll admit that I suffer from a severe dental phobia. I may have to confiscate the candy...

Makes Scents To Me

VALENTINE'S DAY
So true, but I lurve Valentine's Day anyway!

Little Red had a ball at his party yesterday, despite my minor screw up. As we were leaving I went to his cubby and picked up his HUGE bag of candy. On the way out he said, "What's dat smell?" I said, "I dunno, buddy." He responded with "Mmmm...Smells like Candy," all the while eyeing the bag of sweets I was carrying and grinning his bestest grin. Of course I had to give him a sucker for the ride home. What can I say? Guess I'm a sucker, too.

Once in the Yukon, he told me not to buckle him up. I told him he was nuts and that it wasn't safe, plus there was no way I was going to jail. He looked at me as serious as can be and said, "Mommy, Dust go weal slow." Sorry son, that's just not an option.

Happy Valentine's Day, y'all! I will fill you in on our weekend festivities and what I got for my Valentine's on Monday. You'll never guess where I did my shopping! But you can give it a shot if you want...Stay tuned. XOXOXO

Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner

I win! The bad mommy award, that is. I ASSumed that Little Red's school party would be tomorrow. You know, the day of the school week closest to actual Valentine's Day. We arrived this morning, sippy cup and pop tart (don't judge me) in hand. When we entered the building I noticed all the other moms were loaded down with bags of candy and other goodies. My heart stopped for a minute. Like when you forget to study for a big test or show up for a presentation without your notes. I quickly found his sweet teacher and confirmed that the party was in fact today. She nodded and said it starts at 10 o'clock. Shut the front door! I cried inside.
********************************************************************************
I had all these plans for us to make cute little Valentines and love bug cupcakes, plus I was going to pump LR up about the party and dress him up all cutseyish. Instead, I hightailed it outta there straight to the Piggly Wiggly across the street, where I purchased Valentines, cupcakes & even suckers- to try to make up for being such a bad mama, of course. I sat in the parking lot and filled out the cards and then left everything in the office- like that was my plan all along. I'm pretty sure LR will never know the difference, but I can't help feeling like a total loser.

You Might Be A Redneck...

if your life revolves around a Jeep with huge tires and great big axles

if your Homeowners Association notifies you that you can't have trailers (or grease spots) in your driveway

if you work for the trailer dealership where said prohibited trailers were purchased

if you are considering moving because the Homeowners Association is making you nuts

if your hubby's "wardrobe" consists only of Carhart clothing & Justin work boots (he does own a suit for special occasions- he may have worn it a total of 3 times in 5 years)

if your little boy only wants to wear Carhart clothing & Justin work boots to be just like his redneck daddy (his work boots are so cute I can't stand it)

if you actually own a few pieces of Carhart clothing yourself (in my defense the girls stuff is kind of cute and holds up really well)

if you spend consecutive New Year's Eves in the mud with the Jeep, great friends and champagne

if your hubby's idea of a romantic Valentine's Day is a picnic on a dirt road while Jeep riding.

if every holiday is just an excuse to go jeep riding.

Honey, we are NOT going Jeep riding for Christmas. I do have my limits.

One Tough Cookie

Little Red had another fantabulous day at his school, despite the 2 angry looking bite marks on his back. He told me on the way home that "dose kids bited me." Sure 'nuff when I went to put him in the tub I found several red marks. This is really no big deal to me (for now). As the parent of a reformed biter I know that this happens. I just hope that (a.) LR does not pick this habit back up and (b.) that this doesn't continue and make him less excited about going to school.

He was just as excited about school this morning while we were getting ready. He was once again dressed and sitting at the door waiting on me. Upon arrival, I marched my happy little hiney in and showed the teacher and director the marks. Not because I'm mad, but because *if* he starts biting again, I want them to know that he re-learned it there. His teacher said he never cried and she had no idea that it happened. She said he is fitting in perfectly and loving every minute. He is one tough cookie. He rarely cries over his injuries, which is a good thing since he seems to be clumsy like his mama. They promised to watch more closely and put an end to the biting. I have instructed Little Red to say, "Please don't bite me" and go tell the teacher if it happens again. I am praying with all my might that the biting habit doesn't return. My how the tables have turned...I have to admit it is much easier being the parent of the bitten and not the biter.

Just Call Me Grace

As athletic as I am I also tend to be a bit of a klutz. I managed to give myself my first black eye this weekend. Yep, I walked straight into the corner of a folding table that was in the back of the truck. Of course I was busy running my mouth and forgot it was back there. And of course it was Mr. Sass's fault for putting it there in the first place. It appears that it hurt much worse than it looks and I am able to cover the bruising with make-up. I also bruised my leg on a toilet and severely paper cut my finger. Throw in muscle achiness from manual labor and jeep riding and I feel like someone beat the tar out of me. I think I need about 3 days of total bed rest and a few cortisone shots. Instead I will suffer through with Motrin, a hot bath and a glass of wine. Mr. Sass says I should tell everyone they should see the other guy. Somehow I don't think the table is feeling any pain, but the piece of cardboard that caused the nasty cut on my finger has seen better days.

Working For The Weekend

The weekend was wondermous. I had a much needed break and Little Red got to go to the zoo, which he loved. How is it that I was so looking forward to the break (especially after LRs shenanigans in CVS) and once I was gone all I could think about was how much fun he'd be having if he were with us? I was super excited to pick him up yesterday. He was so tired that he slept all the way home and then proceeded to sleep for 2 more hours after we got there. Luckily I was able to get some laundry and cleaning done while he slept. After he woke up, we played, snuggled and played some more. He wouldn't leave my side, which was a-ok by me. I didn't even mind having company in the bathroom. That's a lie, but I just didn't have the heart or the energy to kick him out.

This morning, he kept instructing me to hurry up and get ready so he wouldn't be late for school. Talk about role reversal! This is such a change from me dragging his whining little self to the babysitter every morning with him telling me over and over not to go to work. I'm just hoping he will still love school after the new wears off. Friday afternoon BBop actually had to bribe him to get him to leave the playground when he picked him up.

We got to spend some time with Lil Miss Sassypants over the weekend. She is growing up so fast. She will be 13 in August. She is such a beautiful, smart girl. Mr. Sass is going to be beating the boys off with a stick.

This weekend should be filled with a whole lot of nothing, which sounds absolutely fabulous to me. We are going to do some stuff around the house and just hang out. Mr. Sass's parents- Nanu and Pop- may be coming for a visit. I guess that means I have to clean my house. Bummer.

Spilt Personality

LR was an angel at school yesterday. When I got there to pick him up he didn't want to stop playing. I promised him he could come back tomorrow and he was good to go. We had to stop by CVS where LR turned into "that kid." He was terrible. I'm not even going into all the details because I'm pretty sure it would cause my blood pressure to skyrocket. Apparently, he used all of his good up at school and didn't have any left for his poor, worn-out mama. I yanked him up so fast and exited the building. He got to listen to me tell him exactly what I thought about him the entire way home, which was all of 2 miles. I made the most of it. He was exhausted from playing all day, but his behavior was still totally unacceptable. Never ever (over the next few years) will we go shopping again without him strapped securely in the stroller. And that is all I'm gonna say about that.

This morning went well. My little angel has returned (for now). His BBop will be picking him up this afternoon. Let's hope angel kid is still around (for both their sakes). Mr. Sass and I are heading north for the weekend. After last night, I'm convinced I need a break. I think it will do Little Red some good, too.

I'll see y'all Monday. It is gonna be a bee-u-tiful weekend. I am looking forward to spending some time in the great outdoors. I'm gonna soak up the sun.

Cool Enough For School

Little Red started "school" today. Yep, I finally made the decision to start him when the sitter gave me less than 24 hours notice that she couldn't keep him today. Seriously. Don't even get me started on that. But, you should have seen the look on his face when I told him. He was so excited. He helped me pack his extra clothes, nap mat and pillow. He insisted on taking his back pack. He even went to bed fairly easily because I told him the sooner he went to sleep, the sooner he could go to school.

Everything went smoothly this morning. He got up and got dressed easily. He even sat at the front door waiting on me. Shocker, I know. When we went to get in the Yukon, he told me he wanted to ride the bus. He even headed toward the sidewalk. I tried to explain that his school doesn't have a bus, but he wasn't having it. He just couldn't understand why the bus wasn't coming to get him. Eventually I guess he'll realize there is no bus...

Upon arrival, we were greeted by several familiar, smiling faces. This was the daycare that Little Red went to when he was 6 weeks old. Everyone was so excited to see him. I'll just tell ya it was much easier to leave him this time. We went to his classroom where he immediately began inspecting the toys and his new friends. He never gave me a second look.
I called to check on him a few minutes ago. His teacher said, "He is such a good little boy." I hope she was talking about the right kid. In the past I've heard "Wow, he is all boy!", "Gosh, he has so much energy!" and "Man, he is quite a handful.", but never has anyone told me he's a good little boy. I'm so proud, y'all! Guess we'll see how tomorrow goes...

NOW SHOWING

THE CAT IN THE HAT (Dat Cat Movie)

So, Little Red is a creature of habit. He picks a movie he likes and watches it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over til it gets too scratched to watch or I make it magically disappear.

Previously there has been Finding Nemo (E-mow), Alvin & The Chipmunks (Ivan), Bee Movie(Da Bees), Scooby Doo (Cooby Doo) & some stupid dinosaur movie I don't know the name of, but he calls it Die-Saurs. I have decided to keep you up to date on what we are watching at our house. And yes, I do let him watch (part of) a movie most every night before bed. It is the only way I can get him to wind down. Don't you judge me!

Cuttin Up

Everyday is a new adventure in boy land...Last night I took Little Red to get his haircut. We went to Sports Clips because I had a coupon, duh! As soon as we walked in he was in heaven. There was a ginormous TV in the waiting area, team paraphernalia & sports equipment hanging from every available surface and super cute hair stylist chicks at every chair. Sigh. It was every man's dream.

LR did so good. He watched football and pointed out every item that had Bama (Roll Tide!) on it. His stylist, Victoria was a super cute, tee-niny red head with NIKE plastered across her tush. LR lurved her to pieces. He smiled, flirted and played with her. She had no problems keeping him still and she did a rockin job trimming his hair.

While I was at the counter paying, LR was sitting quietly in the bleachers watching Sports Center. I might have taken my eyes off him for 2 seconds, tops. All of a sudden he darts past me and runs all the way back to the "Showers," where hair is washed and steamed towel treatments are administered. Just as I made it to him, he climbed in the hair washing chair and managed to turn on the faucet, which blasted a very powerful water stream right in his cute little face. He gave me a horrified and confused look and his lip began to quiver. Seriously, it was all I could do to not fall out in the floor laughing, which means I didn't get a picture. My little drowned rat looked so pitiful, but he totally deserved it and I doubt he'll do it again. I'm not making any promises, though. I was so glad that I had given Victoria a hefty tip. She not only cut his hair, but she also had to mop up the big ole wet mess he made. We made a fast break outta there. That's how we roll.

LR watching football intently

Pointing out yet another piece of sporting equipment and telling Victoria (with NIKE on her tush) what it's called.

Brushing the hair off his "blanket"

Adreneline Junky

I have always been a bit of a daredevil. I love adrenaline. I love heights. I have been white water rafting, mountain biking and extreme jeep riding. I was a gymnast for over 10 years. Heck, I've been to numerous Alabama Football games and I've given birth. I have never been sky diving, though. I've always wanted to. However, I read this article today and now I am not so sure. This would so happen to me.

Soldier on 1st skydive leads dying instructor down
By JEFFREY COLLINS, Associated Press Writer Jeffrey Collins, Associated Press Writer – Mon Feb 2, 2:05 pm ET

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Strapped to his dying instructor a few thousand feet from the ground on his first skydive, Daniel Pharr found himself floating toward a house and some trees.
The military taught the 25-year-old soldier not to panic. And TV taught him to pull the toggles on the already-deployed parachute to steer. So Pharr grabbed the right handle and pulled to avoid the house and tugged again to miss the trees, landing safely in a field about a third of a mile from their intended landing spot. Pharr said he wrestled out of the harness binding him to his instructor, George "Chip" Steele, and started CPR trying to save him from an apparent heart attack. Steele was later pronounced dead, but the tragedy could have been worse: Other instructors at the skydiving school told Pharr if he had pulled the toggle too hard, the chute would have spun out of control, and he could be dead, too. The rest of the story

Seriously...I would have lost it. I am so glad Daniel was able to keep his cool and land safely, but count me out on skydiving. Maybe I'll just bungee jump instead.

Shop Til Ya Drop

We had a fantabulous weekend. Little Red spent the nigh with GG and BBop Friday night so I could have some much needed me (cleaning) time. On Saturday, Mr. Sass had to work, so LR and I were on our own. My bff KeKe was in town Saturday on her way to catch a flight to Vegas for work. LR, KeKe and I met our newlywed, fresh from the honeymoon friend, Ry, for lunch. Little Red escaped from the fenced in patio and tried to run away. I'm thinking he was nervous about spending the afternoon with 3 girls trying to stimulate the economy. I wasn't all that worried because I knew whoever found him would return him. Stat. I just had to make sure he didn't get run over. Once I caught him and gave him a very serious lecture, he promptly gave me a hug and a kiss and pinky promised that he would be good.

True to his word, he was amazingly well behaved (for a 2.7 year old little monster). He sang (quite loudly), tried to grab several (very cute) girls' hineys from the stroller and inspected every bra in Victoria's Secret. He even tried on lipstick at the Mac store. Shhhh-- don't tell Mr. Sass. He must have sensed my need for girliness, since he cooperated fabulously. He was rewarded with cookies and comments about his cuteness from various strangers. Others looked horrifyingly as he put bra after bra on his head, but in my defense he was being really quiet and VS was having a killer sale. I'm just saying.

We said goodbye to Ry and headed home. LR took a whole 15 minute nap and woke up his wild, rip roaring little boy self. He taught KeKe how to play blocks the LR way while I cooked dinner. After a delicious meal I made him go to bed. He was plum worn out and had become a hazard to himself...He told me I was mean, but I was looking out for his safety and my sanity and I was certain that KeKe had enough birth control for one day.

Yesterday I turned LR over to Mr. Sass. Y'all, I was worn out from all the momming (Thanks, AB). I am battling a cold or allergies or I don't know what. I rested and made a Target trip. The boys watched the Superbowl and did other boy stuff. I painted my nails and folded laundry. And then the weekend was over.
